Volunteers healing their Community through
“Helping Hands and Caring Hearts.”
As a Good Samaritan Health System volunteer, you
will:
- Learn New skills
- Make new friends
- Discover new interests
- Give back to the community
- Gain personal satisfaction
While playing a vital role in helping the Good
Samaritan Health System to fulfill its mission in providing accessible, high
quality, affordable health care services that improve the health and well-being
of the people it serves.
Who can volunteer?
If you have
time to spare and enjoy helping others, then volunteering is for you!
The
Good Samaritan Health System’s Volunteer Program welcomes men and women of all
ages. Volunteers may be retired, employed, students, local residents, or
individuals from surrounding communities. These uncommon people have one common
purpose -- they are dedicated to helping others.
Each prospective volunteer
is required to complete an application. When the completed application is
received by the Volunteer Department, the applicant will be scheduled for a
personal interview.
During the interview process, the applicant’s abilities,
availability and service area preference will be discussed. This information
combined with the needs of the Hospital will determine Volunteer
placement.
Volunteers Are:
- Caring individuals with a desire to help others by
giving of themselves
- Retirees who still have much to give and want to
keep active
- Working professionals who want to broaden their
horizons
- Students interested in pursuing health or human
services career
