Inpatient Surgical Services at The Good Samaritan Hospital

The Good Samaritan Hospital offers a complete pre and post-operative environment, encompassing an operating room, central supply, a post-anesthesia care unit and a short stay unit. We’re involved in all aspects of care, including preparing the patient for surgery, assisting the surgeon throughout the procedure and overseeing patient recovery afterward. Departments are equipped, staffed and operated according to national best practices.

Short Stay Unit – Outpatient Surgery

This unit provides preparation and recovery of patients who require surgery, angiography and minor medical procedures like lumber puncture, liver biopsy and thoracentesis. We want to ensure that all patients have the best experience possible, so the unit is staffed with experienced nurses who specialize in providing warm and attentive care.

GSH Outpatient Surgery Center

This freestanding surgical center offers multi-specialty surgical procedures and ophthalmology lasers on an outpatient basis. The center is staffed by BLS and ACLS certified nurses who are cross-trained for pre-op, the operating room and recovery.
