If you want to quit smoking but are having difficulty doing so, you are encouraged to attend the Smoke Stoppers course at The Good Samaritan Hospital. The free sessions will begin on Wednesday, February 1, and will continue on February 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 15. Sessions will be held in classroom 3 from 6:30 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. This is a comprehensive program for smokers who want to cut back on their cigarette consumption, gain more control over their smoking habit or quit smoking entirely.
Participants are expected to attend all eight classes. Free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) is offered to all participants. The registration deadline is Monday, January 30. Pre-registration is required by contacting the educational services department at 717-270-7759.
