The Cedar Rose and Pine Mtn. service units of the Lebanon County Girl Scouts recently collected baby gifts in honor of the 100th birthday of Girl Scouting celebrated on March 12. The lucky recipient was Hailey Burkman, the first baby girl born on March 12 at The Good Samaritan Hospital. She is the daughter of Jamie Burkman of Palmyra. Hailey was born at 8:56 a.m., weighed in at 6 lbs. 14 oz., and was 19 ½ inches long. Presenting the gifts was Cindy Levengood, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania Membership Associate for the Lebanon County service units. Participating in the service project were girl scouts ranging in age from kindergarten to 12th grade.
