Good Samaritan Health System is pleased to welcome Dr. Marc Bonin as the medical director of the emergency department. Dr. Bonin received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO, and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Memorial Hospital in York, PA. He served as the medical director of Marian Community Hospital’s Emergency Department in Carbondale, PA, for over 12 years as well as serving as medical director of several surrounding ambulance companies.

Dr. Bonin will be building on the many successes of the Good Samaritan emergency department, including superb cardiac response times and expertise in diagnosing and treating chest pain that have led to recognition as an accredited chest pain center. Working with our physicians, nursing team and other emergency department staff, Dr. Bonin will focus on improving efficiency and patient satisfaction while introducing the latest evidence-based medicine to the emergency services.
