Good Samaritan Physician Services is pleased to announce that Dr. Trent W. Nichols, Jr. has joined Good Samaritan Gastroenterology Associates. The practice is located at 1151 Cornwall Road, Unit 5, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Nichols received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Following medical school he served in the United States Navy and interned at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Great Lakes, Illinois. He served his residency in internal medicine at Evanston Hospital – Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and then followed with a gastroenterology fellowship at the Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Nichols is board certified in gastroenterology as well as internal medicine.
Prior to joining Good Samaritan Gastroenterology Associates, Dr. Nichols held the position of CEO at the Center for Nutrition & Digestive Disorders located in Hanover, Pennsylvania. He also worked for the Pennsylvania State University as an assistant clinical professor of internal medicine at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Among his many accomplishments and awards, he has been included in America’s Top Physicians and served as honorary chairman of the Physicians Advisory Board, National Republican Congressional Committee.
Dr. Nichols is a fellow with the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Nutrition. He is a member of the American Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Nichols has authored numerous published documents to include journals, letters, abstracts, textbook chapters, research presentations and sponsored research studies.
Good Samaritan Gastroenterology Associates offers timely appointments and participates with most major insurance carriers. GI procedures will be performed at The Good Samaritan Hospital and the GSH Outpatient Surgery Center.
