A Registration Specialist is a multi-disciplinary position that performs registrations from departmental schedules, verifies patient information and/or insurance information, obtains referrals and precertifications as needed, performs financial counseling, patient re-scheduling, employee training, patient education services, quality assurance and special projects. Performs lead role to support PAS management and other departments at GSHS.
Day Shift / Includes Weekends and Holidays
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in hospital/physician office setting performing registration, insurance verification, and/or customer relations desirable. Worked/performed all job functions in Patient Access (OP Registration, Switchboard, IP Admissions/Bed Control, Cashier, Benefit Validation) and has demonstrated proficiency in all areas.
