Job Description:
The Surgical Technician in the OR is responsible for instrument selection, preparation of the operation and verifying sponge, needs and instrument count. He/she is under the supervision of the circulating nurse during surgical procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Graduate of operating room technician school or LPN with surgical experience. One year operating room experience preferred. If LPN, must have current Pennsylvania license; license must be maintained as condition of employment. Current BLS certification; must be maintained as a condition of employment.
