Patient Meals are
served as follows:
Breakfast - 7:00 a.m. to
9:00 a.m.
Lunch - 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Dinner - 4:45 p.m. to 5:45
p.m.

Visitor
Dining
Visitors at The Good Samaritan Hospital may purchase meals,
beverages and snacks at the Courtyard Café, located on the first floor of the
west wing of the Hospital. Vending machines are located off the entrance
corridor to the Café. Menus and hours of service are posted.
Visitors at
The Hyman S. Caplan Pavilion may purchase meals, beverages and snacks at the
Hyman S. Caplan Pavilion Snack Bar, located on the ground floor of the Hyman S.
Caplan Pavilion. Menus, hours of operation, as well as location of vending
machines, are posted.
Gift Shop
A gift
shop is located on the first floor at The Good Samaritan Hospital in the main lobby. The gift shop
is managed by the GSH Auxiliary, and staffed by volunteers. The proceeds from
the gift shop support the GSH Auxiliary's health careers scholarship program and
other needs of the hospital. The hours are posted at that location.
Newspapers
Local
daily and weekly newspapers are distributed free of charge to patients.
Newspaper vending machines are located on the first floor of The Good Samaritan Hospital.
Mail and Flower
Delivery
Patient mail is delivered Monday through Friday (some
restrictions may apply; please refer to Privacy & Confidentiality section of
this booklet). All mail should be addressed to include:

Flowers are delivered daily (some
restrictions may apply; please refer to Privacy & Confidentiality section of
this booklet).
Flowers/Fruit Baskets are not permitted in our Cardiovascular
Unit/Intensive Care Unit (CVU/ICU)
Latex balloons are not permitted in
Pediatric areas.
Telephones
Phones are provided
at every bedside. Outgoing calls may be placed at any time; incoming calls are
restricted between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. (other restrictions may
apply; please refer to Privacy & Confidentiality section of this booklet).
You may call anywhere in the local area by dialing "9" before the desired
number. Dial "O" for operator assistance with long distance calls. You may use a
calling card or call collect for toll calls. Phone calls to you may be
restricted upon request.
Pay phones are located throughout the facility.
Please ask a staff member to direct you to the nearest location.
Television
Televisions are
provided at each bedside free of charge. They are connected to the local cable
network.
Banking
Service
An ATM machine is available for cash withdrawals only and
is located on the first floor of The Good Samaritan Hospital.
