What are the Blood Donor Center hours?
Blood Donor Center at 750 Norman Drive:
Monday: 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Thursday: 11:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Do I need an appointment to donate blood?
Appointments are encouraged for blood donation although blood donors without appointments are also welcomed. You may call the Blood Donor Center at 270-8960 for an appointment.
Do I need to fast to donate blood?
No. Eating a regular meal before donating blood is encouraged.
What happens to my blood after I donate it?
The GSH Laboratory and Blood Donor Center is a member of Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank. Your blood will stay within Central Pennsylvania to be used for emergencies, surgeries and other patients in need.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
You need to bring a list of your medications, recent immunizations, and recent travel history.
What could cause me to be deferred?
If you currently have cold or flu symptoms or active allergies you will be deferred. If you had a major illness or surgery, tattoo, accidental needle stick or come in contact with anyone else's blood or skin piercing within the last year you will be deferred. If you weigh less than 110 pounds you will be deferred. Our friendly staff will ask you questions and perform vital signs to ensure that you are able to donate blood.

The laboratory located at 750 Norman Drive located off Cornwall Road east of Lebanon.
What do I do when I arrive?
Upon arrival, please inform our staff that you are here to donate blood.
