The GSH Blood Donor Center at 750 Norman Drive invites you to give the gift of life by donating blood. The Good Samaritan Hospital is a member of the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank. A donation of blood received here stays within the central Pennsylvania area to be used by patients who have an emergency or who have surgery, cancer, or some other condition where they need blood. Please see our FAQ sheet for more information or call us at 717-270-8960.

Blood Donation (Autologous):
Autologous blood donation is a donation of your own blood to be reserved for you if you need a transfusion during surgery. You will need to obtain a request form and a consent form from your physician and call the GSH donor center to make an appointment at 270-8960. You will also need to register prior to the donation. You can preregister on-line or by calling the Outpatient Registration Department at 270-7991. You may also register when you arrive. If you have a medical condition or if you are on medication, please consult your physician and call the Blood Donor Center at 270-8960 before donating.
